Bossou chimpanzees dig up an ant nest by hand. This stirs up the soldier ants. The chimpanzees then dips a tree branch about 50-cm long among the solider ants. As the soldier ants swarm up the branch, the chimpanzees eat the ants by sweeping them off with the mouth.
