We collected a buoy that had washed ashore in front of the marine station during low tide on April 24 2003. We found a polychaete worm Amphinome rostrata on the buoy. Ulva sp. of about 30 cm long and many goose barnacles were also attached to the buoy. Amphinome rostrata generally lives on a floating object but can be seen when the floating object is washed ashore after bad weather.
