The long-horned beetle Xylotrechus villioni lives in the canopies of fir trees and lay eggs in live tree trunks.
A female is inserting the ovipositor and laying eggs in gaps in the tree bark while crawling down the tree.
Its movement as well as shapes and colors appears to be mimicking that of the wasp, yellow jacket. (translated by Asoh)
