A nestling of the Crested Honey Buzzard gave rattling call
after feeding by the parent.
Video recorded by Raptor Research Group of Taiwan (RRGTaiwan)
and uploaded by their permission.
At local time T=14:18-14:20, the nestling gave the voice
after feeding by the parent. During the feeding, the nestling
continuously gave begging call. A rattling call followed them,
starting from 0:36 of this video. The parent was still present
on the nest. The peak frequency of the rattling call
of the nestling was 2.67 (s.d. 0.29) kHz and the mean interval
was 183 (s.d. 52) msec. The vocalization then turned to even
higher (above 3 kHz) notes with two short components
(such as 1:26 in this video). The volume of the voice
in this video was very small due to the problem in the equipment.
