During a walk, a free-ranging domestic cat (Felis catus) was observed from about 20 meters away approaching the entrance of a pedestrian overpass. Filming was started as the cat ascended the stairs and crossed the road using the bridge. The boulevard below is fully passable for cats, yet the individual chose to use the overpass. After crossing, it entered an alley where people are frequently observed providing food in containers. This observation suggests that the cat used the overpass to safely cross the street, possibly motivated by foraging opportunities.
